This enchanting area has been fascinating the Pinzauti family for over thirty years, ever since they chose it as the ideal place to embark on their winemaking adventure.
From that moment on, this enchanting village, which dates back to the 11th century, has prospered, grown and been restored to new life, offering a few highly selected products that embody its fragrances and spirit.
Chianti Classico (Sangiovese 97% & Colorino 3%)
is the Colle Bereto estate’s main wine. After only 12 months of maturation in oak barriques and another 6 months aging in bottles, the wine is ready for release. Its distinguishing features are a deep bright purplish color, a nose of spicy black berry fruits and jam, a soft flavor, and long persistence.
The beautiful vineyards of the village spread like an open book along the valley floor, facing south-west and enjoying excellent exposure at an ideal altitude ranging from 500 to 550 meters above sea level.
The soil is rich in marl and limestone, with an important rocky substratum, and ideal for producing excellent Sangiovese grapes as well as other varieties such as Pinot Noir and Merlot, vines that are perfectly at home in this outstanding terroir.
